One of the biggest controversies surrounding the new season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills centers on Yolanda Foster’s ongoing battle with Lyme disease. Although Foster was diagnosed with the illness back in 2012, some of her co-stars are starting to question whether or not she actually has the disease. However, according to Design & Trend , Foster has found one ardent supporter in Eileen Davidson.

Davidson recently shared her thoughts about Foster’s battle with Lyme disease and candidly stated that, unlike Brooks Ayers’ battle with cancer on the Real Housewives of Orange County , Foster’s illness is very much a reality.

“I know for a fact that she is not faking it,” Davidson stated in the interview. “I see her struggling. Her cycle is really happening and it continues. It’s hard to see your friend go through this kind of thing, especially in front of the cameras.”

Furthermore, the former Days of Our Livesstar had a few words to share about her co-stars who are now calling Foster’s disease into question. In particular, Davidson explained how their opinions on the matter were not founded on any evidence, and were therefore a “bunch of BS.”

The controversy surrounding Foster was amped up following an interview by Kyle Richards. In speaking with Entertainment Tonight , Richards explained how some of the ladies on the show were confused by Foster’s variety of treatments, which led to an inability to understand just how sick she really is.

“I think for a lot of people it’s very confusing,” Richards told the outlet. “A lot of the things she’s gone through and the treatments she’s done, for some of the cast members they were questioning exactly what she was doing and exactly how sick she was. It was not a good situation.”

According to Richards, this uncertainty led to some of the cast members wondering if Foster really had the disease, while others thought she may be suffering from Munchausen syndrome, which means the disease is all in her head.

“Some things came up that made some of the housewives question exactly what was really going on,” Richards added.

In regards to the possibility of Yolanda Foster being some kind of hypochondriac, an inside source recently told Christian Today that some of cast members believe Foster’s sickness can be attributed to all of the treatments she has undergone over the years.

“The ladies seemed to think that Yolanda has become a hypochondriac, or was making herself sick from undergoing so many alternative treatments,” the source stated.

Meanwhile, despite everything that some of ladies on the reality show have said, Davidson remained firm in her support of Foster. “It’s really not easy,” she stated. “I care very deeply about her, and I see her struggling … It’s hard to see your friend go through this thing, especially in front of cameras.”

That being said, Davidson has admitted that she has never actually been present during one of Foster’s treatment sessions, which is interesting giving their strong ties. Even still, Foster and Davidson are close friends on the show, with the latter supporting her friend in “many different ways.”

With the premiere of the sixth season of the reality show now here, only time will tell if Foster really is suffering from the dreaded disease. Considering how large a controversy Ayers’ struggle with cancer was on the past season of RHOC, fans may be in for another drawn out affair before the truth of the matter is finally revealed.

The opening episode of Season 6 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills , titled “Life’s a Pitch,” is set to premiere December 1 on Bravo.
