Rashida Jones Thinks Female Celebrities Spend Too Much Time Acting Like ‘Whores’

Rashida Jones has some words of wisdom for female celebrities who spend a lot of time exposing themselves on social media and in music videos. In short: Cover yourselves up and leave something to the imagination.

Quite a few singers and actresses are guilty of showing a lot of skin, much to the dismay of the former Parks and Recreation star. Since she’s fed up with seeing naked famous people everywhere she turns, Rashida Jones decided to address the issue on Twitter.

“This week’s celeb news takeaway: she who comes closest to showing the actual inside of her vagina is most popular,” the actress recently tweeted.

Once that tidbit of advice was out there, Rashida Jones clarified her statement with a few more thoughts. Although she thinks female celebrities are showing too much skin these days, Jones doesn’t want folks to think she’s simply passing judgment.

“Let me clarify. I don’t shame anyone for anything they choose to do with their lives or bodies… But I think we all need to take a look at what we are accepting as ‘the norm,’” she explained on Twitter. This post included the hashtag #stopactinglikewhores.

Rashida Jones added, “There is a whole generation of young women watching. Sure, be sexy but leave something to the imagination.”

To prove that she has a sense of humor about the whole thing, the actress made a plea to male celebrities out there who don’t feel the need to share some flesh on social media.

“Also, calling on all men to show me dat ass,” Jones joked.

What do folks on Twitter think about the actress’ advice to her fellow female celebrities? Take a good look at some of the reactions embedded below.

Although this tweet probably isn’t related to her commentary on female celebrities, it’s still random enough to include just for the fun of it.
