Quantico fans are getting closer to the return of this series to ABC. The series ended its winter finale with an explosion, and fans have been left wondering who survived the blast at the FBI headquarters. It has already been teased that some people died in the explosion. In fact, several characters may not appear in the future timeline of the second half of the first season of this series.
Several Quantico spoilers for the return of the series have been released in recent weeks, but now the official photos for Quantico Season 1 Episode 12 have been released by ABC. Spoiler TV shared the photos and more for the next episode, which is simply titled “Alex.”
Alex is a major focus of the episode, as the details reveal.
“Alex finds herself in the middle of a congressional hearing to testify about the terrorist bombings. Convinced Elias didn’t act alone, she is determined to find answers and the truth. While back at Quantico, a new group of NATS join Alex and her classmates, causing tension and competition between the groups of trainees.”
There is more drama to come on this series. Entertainment Weekly has shared a lot of spoilers to help fans wait for the return of the series. In one report, it was revealed in Quantico spoilers that there is a time jump between the winter finale and the return of the series.
Priyanka Chopra spoke with EW about the return of the series.
“We come back a few months after, and now that the second bomb went off, people are like, ‘Oh, maybe Alex wasn’t the terrorist,’ so what happens after that? What happens in the Command Center, where everyone was? Was there someone else in the class [other than Elias] who was involved? What happened in these few months? All of those questions come up and it all screwballs in this half of the season.”
Chopra also revealed in recent Quantico spoilers that Alex will be in a bad place when the show returns. She is the one that told Simon to let go of the trigger, so she is traumatized by the fact that her decision killed so many people.
In another spoiler report released by Entertainment Weekly , Chopra revealed more about Alex and Ryan’s relationship . The pair are shown having a heated discussion in one of the new episode photos. Chopra teased a bit about the drama ahead for the pair.
“The problem actually is not even Hannah, it’s what happens with Ryan and Alex after everything they’ve been through. How do they get through? They love each other, but they can’t be together, because Alex is her own destruction. She’s so dark that anything good for her she runs away from. She’s so afraid of being hurt that she hurts herself [rather] than to have someone else betray her. That’s going to be her [down]fall.”
In addition to all of the drama surrounding the explosion, fans will meet some new faces as well. There are three new agent trainees joining the group, and they will immediately cause some tension with the other trainees. However, the additions will not make it harder for the fans to follow the action.
Some of the new faces fans see in the flashback sequences will not be alive in the future timeline, so there is no overlap. That does not mean there is not drama ahead as these new trainees make their presence known. These new trainees are also close, so they have a bond similar to what was seen during the first half of the season with Alex, Shelby, Nimah, and Natalie. Fans will need to tune in to find out how the new arrivals add to the large mix of characters, which will definitely not be as large because of the explosion.
Are you a fan of Quantico ? Who do you think survived the explosion at the end of the winter finale? The series will return to ABC on March 6.
