What PS4 and Xbox One Black Friday deals can you expect to find? It’s really a matter of what you’re shopping for.
Considering the overwhelming demand for both consoles, the law of supply and demand dictates that you won’t see any discounts for the consoles themselves yet. Also, with the recent reveal that the PlayStation 4 may have indeed been allegedly sabotaged by slave labor in China, you might want to wait a while before you buy one anyway. Newer models might work better.
While you might not find the consoles at a discount this year, you might still find some deals on the games. Titles like Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag , Call of Duty: Ghosts , FIFA 2014 , and Madden 25 have been spotted in ads already. One ad in particular showed Toys R Us selling new games at a bulk discount, where you buy one and get a second for 40 percent off.
The PS4 and Xbox One Black Friday deals may just result in a second jump in sales, as stores will likely sell out of both consoles at full price (if they have any in stock). Before you make the leap though, remember that the Black Friday models of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be the same as the ones at launch.
This means that if the Xbox One suffers from any of the same problems as its rival, you could be paying full price for something you’ll end up sending back to the manufacturer for a fix. On the bright side, some gamers have reported their PlayStation 4 working just fine.

It’s much more likely that you’ll find huge discounts on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. By then, both consoles will be considered expendable, and you will definitely find discounts on the current generation games. Chances are that when the big sales begin, you’ll want to leave with enough to compensate for the trouble of a potentially hostile crowd and staying up into the wee hours of the morning.
If you can wait, and won’t mind missing this year’s PS4 and Xbox One Black Friday sales, you might just find the brand new consoles discounted in a few months. After the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 launched, both of them were sold at a discount only a few months later. It took the PlayStation 3 four months before its priciest bundle was discounted by almost 10 percent, and the Xbox 360 had a similar price cut five months later. The next gen consoles may follow the same route if history repeats itself.
Will you be in line to take advantage of the chance to find PS4 and Xbox One Black Friday deals, or are you planning to wait and see first?
