The PS4 release date is already looking better than that of the Xbone. While Microsoft is going out of their way to avoid early leaks of even Xbox Live for Xbox One, as previously reported by The Inquisitr , Sony has already unleashed PSN games for its upcoming console.
Score one more point for Sony; PlayStation 4 digital downloads are already available, even if the console hasn’t been released yet. Xbox One console owners who Target already shipped pre-orders to can’t even access Xbox Live without their machine being banned.
Sony is even allowing third party sites to host PlayStation 4 titles outside of the PlayStation Network, much like Valve does with Steam titles. If you find a title on Amazon that offers a special deal on a digital PS4 game, for example, PSN will let you order it. If you hurry, you might even get a deal on Amazon to buy two PlayStation 4 launch titles and get one free. The offer is only good today, November 12, 11am to 3pm CST.
Don’t expect Sony to simply step aside as the PS4 release date approaches, letting other retailers beat them at their own sales. The console manufacturer will most likely compete with third party sellers.

Right now, however, PSN is already offering an additional $5 PlayStation Store credit for gamers who buy select titles such as the groundbreaking new Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag and the technically impressive Battlefield 4 . Call of Duty: Ghosts and the blockbuster zombie game The Last of Us are also included.
Another way that the PlayStation 4 will most likely blow the Xbone out of the water is that PSN is expected to sell boxed copies alongside digital ones right off the network. If it’s anything like the Amazon storefront, you can expect to find deals on used games as well, and even check third party seller ratings before you buy.
As the PS4 release date fast approaches, we’re already seeing what could ultimately make Microsoft weep, as PlayStation 4 launch titles are already on sale through PSN.
