Prince has joined Twitter. Despite his previous criticism of social networking, the superstar is finally using Twitter.
Prince’s messages are appearing on the account for his band 3rd Eye Girl. Fans were reluctant to believe Prince was actually using Twitter. However, his identity was confirmed by Tatiana Grace, who simply Tweeted “Ps. Yes, that is Prince…”
As reported by City Pages, Prince seems to enjoy sending messages to his fans. In addition to the tweets, he has also posted a few pictures.
One of the photos features a salad covered in copious amounts of pepper. In the included message, he asks fans if they think the pepper was a bit too much.
Another picture is an actual photo of Prince. However, it does not appear to be new. Prince looks quite young in the photo, which was obviously taken in a studio.
A third photo is being called a selfie. However, it features smoke rather than the artist himself.
The current content is not entirely interesting. The big news is that Prince joined Twitter . If he maintains his interest in the site, more interesting Tweets and selfies are sure to follow.

Prince’s new band, 3rd Eye Girl, does not have any current tour dates. However, they have discussed continuing their tour before the end of the year.
