Premier League, Crystal Palace Vs. Manchester United: Preview, Prediction, Probable Lineups, And Betting Tips

Boosted by a win against Tottenham in the last match, Manchester United is set to lock horns with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Wednesday.

Manchester United put up arguably their best performance of the season when they defeated Tottenham 1-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday. Jose Mourinho’s men are now in the sixth place of the Premier League Standings with 24 points, 11 points behind league leader Chelsea.

Crystal Palace, on the other hand, has been struggling this season, as they are in the 15th place on the Premier League table. With mere 15 points from 15 games played so far, the home side has managed to win just four league matches.

An away trip to Crystal Palace has never proven difficult for Manchester United in recent years as the Red Devils have won four successive outings against Palace.

Team News: Crystal Palace

Alan Pardew’s team has been partly troubled by injuries this season.

Defender Papa N’DiayeSouare will miss the match as he is still undergoing a treatment for his broken leg. Jonathan Benteke and Connor Wickham both are ruled out of the match due to their knee injuries.

Christian Benteke, who is the top scorer for Crystal Palace this season, will lead the attack for the home side. Wilfred Zaha, who netted a goal in the thrilling 3-3 draw against Hull City last weekend, has been in superb form all season, and he will be one the key players for Crystal Palace against the Red Devils.

Crystal Palace: Predicted Line-up (4-2-3-1)

The bad news for the Red Devils is that their in-form player, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who scored the winning goal against Tottenham, will be out until the Boxing Day due to an ankle injury.

Defender Chris Smalling will watch the game from the stands as a knee ligament injury keeps him out of the game.

Eric Bailey came in as a substitute in the last match against Tottenham after recovering from a knee injury. His inclusion in the team will give Manchester United much needed defensive stability.

Left-back Luke Shaw picked up a knock during United’s 4-1 win over West Ham in the EFL Cup, and he isn’t expected to recover in time for the trip to London. Marcus Rojo probably will replace him at the left-back position.
