Two pre-teens allegedly chose to stab their 12-year-old friend 19 times, blaming the act on some kind of sacrifice. According to The Washington Post, the girls told police they were trying to “please a mythological creature” that they “learned about online.” The girls are accused of taking their friend into the woods in southeastern Wisconsin with plans to kill her — and it was something they may have been plotting for months.
According to the report:
“One of the girls told a detective they were trying to become ‘proxies’ of Slender Man, a mythological demon-like character they learned about on creepypasta.wikia.com, a website about horror stories and legends. They planned to run away to the demon’s forest mansion after the slaying, the complaint said.”
The pre-teens accused of stabbing their 12-year-old friend 19 times are being tried as adults. Both girls were charged with first-degree attempted homicide and face up to 60 years behind bars if they are convicted.
It all started with a slumber party on Friday night — innocent enough, right? Well, the two girls allegedly planned to kill their friend at night because they “didn’t want to see her eyes.” For some reason, their plan was foiled — so they tried the next day.
The three girls engaged in a game of hide-and-seek in the woods, and police say that is when they started stabbing their friend with a knife. The girls told police that their friend started screaming and telling them how much she hated them — and that made them stop stabbing her.
“The girls left the victim lying in the woods. She crawled to a road where a bicyclist found her lying on the sidewalk. Police arrived and she gave them the name of one of the girls who attacked her.”
According to ABC News, bail was set at $500,000 cash per child . The young girl who was stabbed is listed in stable condition. While her injuries were extremely serious — one stab wound missed a major artery by a millimeter — she is expected to be okay.
The pre-teens accused of stabbing their 12-year-old friend 19 times are due back in court on June 11.
Sadly, this isn’t the first teen-stabbing story. As previously reported by The Inquisitr, two 16-year-old twins confessed to stabbing and killing their mother after being treated as “victims” for the past four years. Jasmiyah and Tasmiyah Whitehead were each sentenced to 30 years in prison following their shocking confession last month.
Do you think a sentence of 60 years in prison is appropriate? What sort of punishment would be acceptable for the pre-teens who stand accused of attempting to kill their 12-year-old friend?
