Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams is getting her own spin-off show, according to a report released on Friday by Media Takeout .
An inside source reportedly confirmed the news to Media Takeout , stating that her demotion in the hit Bravo reality television series was not exactly what it seemed.
According to the source, shortly after demoting her, “[Bravo] immediately signed her on to do her own spin off show, like the one that Kim Zolciak has.”
Kim Zolciak became a reality TV star on Bravo when she was added to the original cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta back in 2008. Between the fourth and fifth seasons of the hit reality series, Zolciak received her own spin-off show Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding . Her spin-off show premiered in April of 2012 and focused on the 36-year-old reality star’s wedding preparations.
Due to its popularity, the spin-off was renamed Don’t Be Tardy and focused on Kim Zolciak’s life and family overall. The finale of the third season aired back in September.
Even though the details of Porsha Williams’ spin-off show and overall concept were not revealed by Media Takeout , they did state that “Porsha is set to begin filming at the start of the year.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr , there were a lot of rumors and speculation that circulated after Porsha Williams’ demotion was first announced. Many people assumed that her demotion occurred as a result of her fight with Kenya Moore on the during the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 6 reunion.
Andy Cohen squashed those rumors by stating earlier this month that Porsha Williams’ demotion had nothing to do with that incident.
“It had nothing to do with anything that happened at the reunion last season. Really, it was about the amount of story we got from Porsha this season.”
Now that an inside source is reporting that Porsha Williams was actually given her own spin-off show on Bravo shortly after her demotion, the ending of her official statement given to E! News earlier this month might take on a new meaning for RHOA fans.
“I was blindsided by the announcement from the network that I was demoted… Unfortunately, I can only be PORSHA, and portraying anything else would not be genuine nor honest. This is the beginning of a new chapter in my life, and I will be giving my fans & supporters another chance to watch my growth as I take on the world in my own special way very soon! Stay tuned.”
Perhaps Porsha Williams secretively meant that she would “take on the world” with her “special” spin-off show and wanted her fans to “stay tuned.” What do you think? Will Porsha Williams soon be filming her own Bravo spin-off show, following in the footsteps of Kim Zolciak?
