Plane Crashes At SF International Airport [Video]

[UPDATE: At least two people were killed today during the crash in San Francisco. KTVU reports that the survivors are being transferred to San Fransisco General Hospital for treatment. The original story continues below]

A plane crashed today while landing at San Francisco International Airport. It is unclear at the moment if anyone was injured during the incident.

According to the Huffington Post, an Asiana Airlines flight crashed while landing today at the California airport. The Boeing 777 started smoking as passengers jumped down the inflatable emergency slides. Witnesses told the KTVU news station that the plane’s tail came off while it started to approach the runway. The pilot then lost control of the aircraft which crashed next to the runway at SFO.

According to the witness, the plane “started violently shaking” after it hit the runway.

The flight was identified as Asiana 214 and was flying in from Seoul, South Korea.

There were close to 300 passengers on the plane at the time of the crash. David Eun, one of the passengers on the plane, also wrote on Twitter that he believed everyone was fine after the crash. Eun posted also posted a picture from the plane crash.
