Phaedra Parks announced that she was ready to divorce her husband last year on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Parks felt betrayed after she learned that her husband had done some sketchy business dealings and he was sentenced to 8 years behind bars. Parks felt betrayed, because she was now left to raise their two sons by herself. In addition, Phaedra works as a lawyer and she felt that her husband had completely betrayed her in several ways. When Apollo Nida was sentenced and jailed, Parks went to visit him once in prison – and she hasn’t been back since.
According to a new Bravo report, Phaedra Parks is now revealing what has been going on in her life since the previous season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta wrapped just last year. Last year, Phaedra filed for divorce from her husband after she felt that he had completely betrayed her. For a while, Parks was questioning whether a divorce was the right solution for her, so the divorce proceedings were slow. But it sounds like things have come to an end based on her own comments to ABC News recently.

“Where we feel his absence [is] when the boys ask, ‘Show me how to play football.’ I know obviously quite a bit about the game, but I’m not the best football coach,” Phaedra Parks points out, sharing that she’s doing the best she can in raising two boys, adding, “I make it a point to try and engage good role models.”
While filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta , Parks made sure to surround her sons with role models and these men now include Judge Greg Mathis, Pastor Jamal Bryant, Reverend Jesse Jackson, and Louis Farrakhan. These guys are there for her sons whenever they need that male role model that Nida can’t be these days. And while these men are role models for her sons, they are not linked to Phaedra romantically. But she does have her eye out for a new man, who can accept the fact that she has two children.
