Pee-Wee Herman’s word of the day today is pancakes, which makes sense since he just had his fill on Top Chef. Paul Reubens’ alter-ego joined Padma Lakshmi on the cooking show today to judge pancakes and to make his triumphant return to the Alamo.
Pee-Wee arrived on set on his shiny red Schwinnn bicycle just in time for breakfast. The chefs were told to use their imaginations to create a pancake that could please Mr. Pee-Wee. Herman ended up choosing Ed as the winner for his pancakes with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, bacon and bruleed marshmallow.
Pee-Wee said:
“I thought the pancakes were delicious. They were all delicious and imaginative. It was just delicious. It was delicious. DELICIOUS! Did I mention it was delicious?”
For the elimination challenge , Top Chef set up an interesting challenge that had the chefs riding Schwinns toward the Alamo to find a proper kitchen to cook in.

In other Pee-Wee Herman news, Paul Reuben has just signed on to “Frank and Francis,” a musical satire from Charlie Kaufman. Reubens will be joining a pretty sweet cast consisting of Jack Black, Elizabeth Banks, Nicolas Cage, Steve Carell, Catherine Keener and Kevin Kline.
“Frank and Francis” centers around a dispute between a filmmaker and an online blogger. Reubens plays an old school film critic in the movie.
