A California teen crashed his car into the right front yard last week. A young male driver flipped his car several times before landing in Patrick Dempsey’s Malibu yard. Luckily for the driver, the “Grey’s Anatomy” actor was home and had a crowbar at his disposal.
According to TMZ, a young driver lost control of his Mustang at 5 pm last Tuesday. The car flipped several times before landing in McDreamy’s front yard. The car was reportedly totaled and Dempsey had to use a crowbar in order to get the driver out of the vehicle.
Someone called 911 and the boy was taken away in an ambulance. TMZ reports that the driver suffered a concussion but no other injuries.
Shawn Ryan, a showrunner for The Shield , tweeted :
“True Story: Grey’s Anatomy actor Patrick Dempsey pulled my friend’s son out of overturned car after bad accident on Tuesday. #GoodDude”
USA Today reports that Dempsey is a big car racing fan so he’s probably seen an accident or two in his day.
Dempsey is just the latest celebrity to display some heroics. Newark Mayor Cory Booker recently ran into a burning building in order to help some trapped people.
