He went bankrupt
Park Bo Gum declared bankruptcy due to some poor financial decisions made in his youth.
“It happened when Park Bo Gum was young, and because it’s his own personal situation, we don’t know the details. We do know that it was resolved last year. Currently, there are no problems,” his agency, Blossom Entertainment, said in an official statement on the issue earlier this year.

According to The ChosunIlbo the debt was actually his father’s. Apparently Bo Gum’s father borrowed a large sum of money from a loan shark in order to get a business started, but the business unfortunately went bankrupt. Park Bo Gum, who was a teenager at the time, was a co-guarantor on the loan, which eventually grew to an enormous sum because of interest.
When Park started acting, the loan shark demanded that he pay the money back, but he said no because he was not making enough money at the time to do so. When the shark insisted that the Moonlight Drawn By Clouds star repay the debt, Park Park Bo Gum filed for bankruptcy in December, 2014.
He thinks he’s a bad kisser
In some behind-the-scenes Moonlight Drawn By The Clouds footage released by KBS recently, you can see Park Bo Gum say that he’s “not very good at this” after messing up his first onscreen kiss with his Moonlight co-star, Kim Yoo Jung. Maybe he just needs some more practice. There are probably loads of Bo Gum female fans, or “Gummies” as they’re called, who would volunteer to assist him.
