Socialite Paris Hilton is very afraid that she could become an ISIS target during a terrorist attack to kill high-profile people from the western world.
Paris Hilton always has the worst in the back of her mind as she travels from country to country, doing what a celebrity like Paris Hilton does best: DJing, partying, and giving birth to a chain of luxury hotels which will take her name. Those hotels will show up in Dubai, New York, and Las Vegas, according to the Mirror .
Following the recent terrorist attacks in Nice and Germany, Paris Hilton gave an interview to local media in Ibiza where she is currently DJing.
“What’s happening is horrible. The recent attacks in Nice and Germany are terrible. It’s something that disgusts and worries me. I travel a lot and I get frightened when I think about things like this. I’m constantly moving around from one country to another and I’m a famous person who could be a definite target for an attack and that is something that sometimes terrifies me.”
Although ISIS has yet to target any specific western celebrities like Paris Hilton, it may not be as far-fetched as it initially sounds. After all, Paris Hilton’s family is close with Donald Trump. Paris Hilton explained how her father is a close friend to Donald Trump.
Paris said that the Republican presidential nominee is a “good friend” of her father and an “extraordinary businessman.”
Hilton offered up, “Donald is a very famous person who is in the eye of the storm.”
However, the Hilton multi-millionaire would not say that she will vote for Trump in November and could not predict the outcome of the elections.
“I don’t know who will win the elections but I just want it to be the best person, whoever it is,” Paris Hilton explained.
If a western celebrity was targeted by a terrorist group, the attention to the act would be enormous. Terrorist groups generally love the attention, and it only adds to their propaganda. It is another reason Hilton’s fears aren’t completely unreasonable or outlandish.
Despite the possible danger of being attacked by ISIS, an ISIS sympathizer, or another terrorist group out to make a point by targeting western celebrities, Paris says she is determined to keep travelling and partying without any protection , just as she always does, according to Esquire .
“I’m also a very free person who tries not to be afraid of anything. I just make sure I always watch my back. I always go out alone and without security,” Paris said about her personal choices to remain as free as possible. “Many celebs have 10 bodyguards but I like to go out with my friends and be normal because I want to be like everyone else. I’m not going to give up anything.”
This is a sentiment that many people in France and Germany agree with — people will not stop living their lives or give up their freedom to live in fear because of the actions of the terrorists.
While many people do not have the luxury to travel from place to place with bodyguards, Paris could easily travel around the globe with a troop of bodyguards to surround her to make her feel safer. However, Paris likely knows that the use of bodyguards may not be enough defense for a suicide bomber or someone with multiple weapons.
