Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week is well underway and there has already been quite the display for all to behold. The “City of Light” came alive thanks to the innovative and original designs that the best in the business have sent down the runway thus far.
From Versace to the couture house of Dior to Lagerfeld’s efforts for the couture house of Chanel, the looks have been stunning, as well as the models who have been pivotal in showcasing them. As was expected, many of the world’s most noteworthy designers lived up to designing their other-worldly creations that everyone anticipates during this haute couture week of fashion.
Appearing on the cat walk for Chanel and impressing all with her incredible confidence, was reality star Kendall Jenner, who has recently stormed on to the modelling scene. The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has made a name for herself and rumor has it that older sister Kim is now struggling to keep up with Kendall in regards to the desired spotlight.
The 19-year-old strutted down the Chanel runway outfitted in a gorgeous Lagerfeld-designed ensemble with mother, Kris Jenner, who, as Daily Mail notes, “did her level best to make herself the center of attention in sheer trousers,” cheering her on.
In one of the many remarkable looks by Chanel, Kendall wore a sheer cropped top paired with a flowing organza floral skirt and contrasting heavy black boots. The Spring Haute Couture Collection by Lagerfeld, who was recently won over by the charisma of the reality star while doing her thing on the runway, is characterized by a “mix of moody florals and sheer materials.” And I’m sure all the sheer additions are a bit more tasteful than Kris Jenner’s sheer pant ensemble.
Perhaps equally jaw-dropping as Kris Jenner’s trouser selection was the collection that was sent down the haute couture runway by American designer Rick Owens. He did more than expose his new fall 2015 menswear pieces, he also did some exposing of the male models who showcased them. As Inquisitr reported on Thursday, the men quite literally “let it all hang out” on the runway for Owens’ show in Paris.
And as for the A-list attendees and spectators of the various shows, Kate Hudson was an absolute vision on Saturday in a daring red and racy cut-out Versace dress paired with Christian Laboutin pumps. As the Huffington Post notes, “Versace might have been having a fashion show in Paris this weekend, but all eyes were on Kate Hudson.”
Kristen Stewart brought her A-game to climb on to that desirable fashion A-list after ridding herself, for a few hours, of her usual “trademark androgynous style.” She fully supported Lagerfeld’s efforts with her ensemble selection on Tuesday morning, when she joined as a spectator at the fashion house’s main event. Opting for a sleeveless Chanel mini with solid embellished piping, she stepped it up while on the Parisian fashion scene.
For the romantic and lavish event that Karl Lagerfeld set in place for all Parisian fashion show-goers, the extra effort in the wardrobe of attendees is simply automatic and expected.
