Speaking of production, Balfe revealed that they were working on “filming the last day of the penultimate block” just prior to the interview. This means that production for Episodes 8 through 11 were just about completed. Further, Balfe revealed that they were still waiting on the script for Episode 13 to arrive.

At the same time, Heughan and Balfe also dished out some details concerning the trailer for the second season, which was just recently released. Although Heughan explained how the trailer was meant to include a number of outdoor shots of the Scottish countryside, Balfe stated that delays caused by weather made it difficult to shoot anything outdoors.

The new season of Outlander is set to feature Jamie and Claire making their way to Paris, France, in order to prevent the Jacobite rebellion. With that in mind, the cast and crew have been to a number of different shooting locations for Season 2, including Prague, where the Paris scenes took place.

Hopefully, it won’t be long before Starz announces which actress will be playing the coveted role.

The second season of Outlander is set to premiere in the spring of 2016.
