Sam Heughan is slowly but surely taking over the television world. Because of his insanely popular role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander , Heughan has managed to build up an enormous and dedicated fan base. With that in mind, Heughan recently set the social media world ablaze with his latest topless posting.
Much to the delight of his fans, Heughan released a number of images from a recent workout photo shoot on Twitter . The images feature Heughan lifting weights and posing shirtless for the workout magazine, The Box .
“Was so fun!” Heughan wrote alongside the images. “Hope your shoes dried out…Thanks for an amazing shoot! Can’t wait to share! See you @MyPeakChallenge.”
Heughan’s post refers to his upcoming My Peak Challenge event that is set to start in December. The proceeds from the event are set to support the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research foundation.
Meanwhile, as Sam Heughan continues to enjoy support from his fan, which helped win him a number of fan voted TV awards lately, season two of Outlander is currently in production. As the new season will feature Jamie and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) heading to Paris, France, Heughan recently assured fans that season two will be just as exciting as the first.
“There’s some crazy new characters. It looks magnificent, the show looks incredible,” Heughan explained to Scotland Now . “And just trying to find where Jamie and Claire fit into that world is exactly the kind of journey they’re having.”
For her part, Balfe stated that Jamie’s state of mind is another element that the new season will continue to explore. “You see two people who are still very much affected by everything that’s happened,” she stated according to Design & Trend . “And I think Claire really has to put aside some of her own issues at the moment to help him get past what’s happened and heal.”
With the couple moving out of Scotland for the majority of season two, Balfe went on to add that both characters were entering unchartered waters.
“They’re going through a very uncertain time. They’re struggling with their own issues and maybe privately there’s a bit of a gulf between them,” she stated. “But ultimately they’re there for each other and they’re working to try and help each other. You see continuously, as with anything in life, adversity, and getting past adversity, will make you stronger and I think that’s the beautiful thing about this.”
