Bill O’Reilly is writing a book on Jesus.
The Fox News anchor recently inked a deal to pen Killing Jesus: A History.
O’Reilly has already written books about two other influential individuals. The Fox News anchor wrote Killing Kennedy: The End Of Camelot and Killing Lincoln: The Shocking Assassination That Changed America Forever.
O’Reilly said:
“Jesus Christ has not walked among us physically for more than 2,000 years, yet his presence today is felt the world over and his spirit is worshipped by more than 2.2 billion people. His teachings, his legacy, his life as a flesh-and-blood man and his death created the world in which we live.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Killing Jesus will be published on September 24 by Henry Hold and Co. The book will be written by O’Reilly, as well as his co-author, Martin Dugard. Dugard also co-wrote the Kennedy and the Lincoln books.
O’Reilly talked about his book on Jesus tonight during The O’Reilly Factor saying that it would focus on the execution of Jesus and how the event influenced history.
“We’ve uncovered some interesting things about the execution of Jesus of Nazareth and how it all ties into Roman power. I think you’re going to like it.”
O’Reilly is best known for his work at Fox News but he’s also a pretty successful author. Killing Kennedy sold more than 2 million copies and Killing Lincoln spent 73 weeks on top of the New York Times best-sellers list.
