Noel Gallagher has shot down rumors of an Oasis reunion just days after his brother Liam announced the dissolution of Beady Eye.
According to the Huffington Post , Gallagher stated that he enjoys his current band, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, too much to reform Oasis.
“It’s not on the cards,” Noel asserted. “From where I sit now it’s purely a creative thing… I really, really enjoy where I am with my music and where I am with my band. I wouldn’t be willing to give that up for anything.”
Earlier this month, Noel announced High Flying Bird’s second album, Chasing Yesterday , revealing that the sophomore effort will be released next March. The album’s first single, In The Heat Of The Moment , was unveiled at the same time, streaming online ahead of its November 17th release. Gallagher issued a video for the single on October 23rd.
Liam Gallagher announced Beady Eye’s split via Twitter on October 24th, thanking fans for their support, according to NME . He founded the band in 2009 along with former Oasis members Andy Bell and Gem Archer, releasing two albums during the course of their career.

As the Express notes, Noel will tour Europe in 2015. When asked by a journalist for Q Magazine , Gallagher asserted that a comeback for Oasis next year is out of the question.
“Yeah, but that’s got nothing to do with me and Liam,” he said. “That’s a creative thing. I’m pretty happy creatively now. Everybody said, ‘Inevitably they’ll get back together in 2015’, and I’m f**king looking forward to spoiling everybody’s party next year. We won’t be doing it.”

Despite their 2009 split, Noel has also revealed that he and Liam are back on speaking terms. The Gallagher brothers’ famous rivalry led to years of acrimony after the end of Oasis, the band that brought them both stardom.
“We’re on good terms – as good as we can be,” Noel said.
Despite his current plans, Gallagher did reveal that there is one set of circumstances in which he could see a reunion taking place.
“I’d rather reform Oasis than wear a Manchester United shirt,” Noel said. “I wouldn’t do that, not even if I was mentally disturbed.”
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will release Chasing Yesterday on March 2nd, 2015.
