Nicki Minaj thinks people who have serious problems with her controversial new song are probably guilty of something.
The backlash surrounding her tune “Lookin A** N****” ensued almost immediately following its release. Not only did folks take issue with the track’s lyrical content — she drops the N-word numerous times through the song — she also drew the ire of Malcom X’s estate for using a photo of the civil rights activist to promote the endeavor.
Now that the song has properly circulated around the planet, Nicki Minaj took a moment out of her increasingly busy schedule to discuss the controversy surrounding “Lookin A** N****.” In the rapper’s opinion, people who are the most vocal about hating the track probably have the most to hide .
Here’s what she had to say on the subject:
“All the real n****s I know f*** with the song, so, if you b****in’ about the song, somethin’ ain’t right. I’m talkin about real n****s been textin’ me like, ‘Yo, I’m so glad you gettin’ these n****s’ asses!’ I’m talkin’ about n****s that really move weight, you know what I’m sayin’? It’s crazy, so I don’t know… if you’ve got a problem with it, you guilty of somethin’.”
There you have it — Nicki Minaj firmly believes you’ve got something to hide if you take offense to her controversial new song. Of course, this isn’t the first time the rapper has addressed the issues that arose shortly after the song’s release.
So Malcolm X went through all that hardship just to end up on Nicki Minaj’s album cover? pic.twitter.com/mHYKyqz5ox

The Inquisitr previously reported that Minaj decided to fire back at the backlash surrounding the use of a famous Malcolm X picture to promote “Lookin A** N****.” Although she eventually decided to yank the image, the damage was already done. Malcolm X’s daughter publicly condemned Minaj and her use of the picture.
Minaj said following the backlash:
“What seems to be the issue now? Do you have a problem with me referring to the people Malcolm X was ready to pull his gun out on as Lookin A*s N****? Well, I apologize. That was never the official artwork nor is this an official single. This is a conversation. Not a single. I am in the video shooting at Lookin A*s N***z and there happened to be an iconic photo of Malcolm X ready to do the same thing for what he believed in!!!! Apologies again to his family. I have nothing but respect an adoration for u. The photo was removed hours ago. Thank you.”
The track has already spawned two responses: one from rapper Trey Songz and another crafted by Cassidy. Fans can find the new Nicki Minaj track on the upcoming Young Money compilation Rise of an Empire and her next album The Pink Print .
