The 2015 NFL Draft begins on Thursday night, and that simply means rumors are swirling in every direction. The only thing seemingly set in stone is that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are taking Jameis Winston with the number one overall pick. From there, no one really knows who will get Marcus Mariota or what veterans could be traded or who may even pick when.
A number of stories are popular today, and many of them don’t have a lot of truth as to what may or may not happen. With that, let’s check out some of the top rumors and stories heading into the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
Will Adrian Peterson get traded? Will it be to the Dallas Cowboys? This is one of the biggest stories, and there are conflicting reports on if he will be moved at all or which team may land him. A lot will be told by what happens tonight if Peterson will be in Vikings’ purple in 2015.
Cris Carter insists that an Adrian Peterson trade is in the works, but he says he is “under gag order on the Adrian Peterson situation, but I believe something’s going to happen.”
Peter King of Sports Illustrated believes that Tennessee, Tampa Bay, and/or Jacksonville could trade up to move from the start of the second round into the late part of the first round.
For weeks now, many have thought that the San Diego Chargers would look into trading Philip Rivers. That trade was rumored to be with the Tennessee Titans so the Chargers could move up to take Marcus Mariota. Apparently, that rumor can now be put to rest.
Schefter said on Mike & Mike that Philip Rivers will not be traded. “That’s done.” #Chargers

If the Chargers are out of the running, then it means the Philadelphia Eagles may try to make a strong run at acquiring Mariota. SB Nation believes that the acquisition of quarterback Sam Bradford gives them some good trade material, and he could be used to move up to the number two pick currently held by the Titans.
LSU offensive lineman La’el Collins, expected to be a first-round draft pick, won’t be at the NFL Draft on Thursday night. Police in Louisiana are looking to speak with him regarding the murder of a pregnant woman.
. @AlbertBreer reports La’El won’t meet with police until post-draft. I’m told police aren’t done with their investigation, not ready for him

The Chicago Bears are listening to trade offers for tight end Martellus Bennett, who signed a new deal back in 2013. He wants a new deal somewhere, even possibly Chicago, but could end up being traded.
There are a lot more stories and rumors going on as the NFL Draft 2015 start time approaches. Who knows what will end up happening, but it could be anything. A lot will be told on Thursday night and then into the weekend, but for now, it’s a lot of fun talk.
