A new “Where the Hell is Matt?” video featuring the charmingly geeky, titular Matt dancing in exotic locales across the world has been making the rounds, with more dancing, more people chillaxing with their fellow man and more heartwarming adorableness.

The “Where the Hell is Matt?” video has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times already, and seems to be part of a larger feel-goody trend on the internet in the last few days. I don’t know if it’s bad news fatigue or just a snowball effective of looking for happy things, but between this and BuzzFeed’s “ 21 Pictures That Will Restore Your Faith In Humanity ,” it seems like the web is really feeling appreciative of their fellow man right now.

(And if you haven’t taken a minute to check out the BuzzFeed piece, and you weren’t that attached to your eye-makeup today, it’s worth a look.)

“Dancing Matt” Harding’s domination of the viral video realm with his feel-good clips actually pre-dates YouTube, with his first video becoming a sensation via an archaic medium known as email. In the days before YouTube owned the social web for video, the first “Where the Hell is Matt?” video bounced around inboxes and garnered the endearing dancing white guy a worldwide following.

That was in 2005, and versions in 2006 and 2008 followed. But the 2012 version, the first clip below, is notable due to its massive cast of characters- in every locale, Dancing Matt has a bunch of locals, often doing a dance associated with the region in which he is filming.
