Olive Garden’s new logo hasn’t been receiving the positive reactions that the company had hoped. The company has been trying a few different things to help bring back their customers including redesigning the brand’s logo and even revamping and launching its menu .
According to KLAS-TV, executives at Darden Restaurants Inc . believed that they could “bring about a ‘brand renaissance’ at the Italian chain with a new look and updated menu that presented food with ‘a sense of flair and sophistication.’” The report continued on to say the following:
“We certainly recognize that industry dynamics have changed considerably over past two years,” CEO Clarence Otis said during the call, acknowledging the need to make drastic changes.
According to Yahoo Finance , the reaction to the new logo was “immediate and scathing”. Many are saying that the new logo takes many steps back when it comes to the over look and feel. Others are saying that the new logo looks childish instead of professional.

Comments from around the web have been very harsh when it comes to describing Olive Garden’s new logo. Take Slate for example. In the title of their report, they describe the new logo by saying it “ looks like a second grader’s cursive practice “.
“The new logo looks like the homework assignment of a teacher’s pet in second grade. The cursive letters are perfectly formed, circular, evenly sized. Clearly, Olive Garden is aiming for a youthful audience with its ‘brand renaissance,’ but it has aimed far too young—no adult has ever written two words in cursive as perfectly formed as the new wordmark.”
In an earlier report by The Inquisitr , the company reportedly stated that along with the new logo, the chain is also recreating their menu to help draw the public back in. The report stated that Olive Garden plans on adding some 20 new dishes to its menu and also plans to allow customers to customize their food orders “more than ever before”.

Super disappointed the new Olive Garden logo isn’t just the name of the restaurant spelled out in breadsticks.
