Two children have been killed in what is being described as a shooting incident at a New Jersey home. According to SFGate , the incident happened inside a home located at Holly Park Drive in the town of Tabernacle in Burlington County, earlier today morning.

According to officials from New Jersey State Police, there were a total of four victims inside the house, of which two people, a woman and a child, have been injured. The injured individuals were taken to the local Cooper University Hospital, where they are undergoing emergency treatment. The conditions of the two injured people are not known at this point.

According to New Jersey State Police trooper Alina Spies, “It’s an active scene. We have a lot of troopers out there investigating, trying to process everything.”

Police have not released the identities of the victims. It is also unclear at this stage if they are related to each other. Investigation is still on to find the perpetrator of this horrific crime. At this stage though, they do not have any suspects or leads.

People residing in the area were shocked to see the large police presence in the area after the shooting was first reported. According to a resident of the Holly Park Drive neighborhood, the home where the incident took place reportedly belongs to a 70-year-old woman. The neighbor, who did not wish to be identified, added that she had noticed several of the woman’s adult children living there with her. She is not sure who the people who were killed and injured in the shooting incident could be.

“All I know was that there was a shooting,” she said.

The report of this shooting incident in New Jersey comes just hours after the Inquisitr reported about the Florida State University Shooting incident , which left three people injured and the gunman dead.
