Netflix: Tired Of Waiting For ‘Marvel’s Daredevil’ Season 2? Check Out The Cast In These Other Netflix Options

The second season of Marvel’s Daredevil is the most highly anticipated non-theatrical release of anything from the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Marvel Studios. If you’re one of the fans anxiously awaiting Matt Murdock’s crossing with The Punisher and Elektra, maybe some additional Netflix content featuring the cast of Daredevil can tide you over until Season 2 is available to stream worldwide.

From crossovers in Jessica Jones and guest appearances in My Name Is Earl to cult-classic movies like Sin City and Full Metal Jacket , there are plenty of other opportunities to watch the cast of Marvel’s Daredevil in action until the new season is released.

Charlie Cox (Daredevil/Matt Murdock) in Stardust

While he had a role in the first episode of Downton Abbey and 20 episodes of Boardwalk Empire , those aren’t available to stream on Netflix. Instead, you can check Cox out in his role in Stardust (2007) as part of an ensemble cast. As noted by Rotten Tomatoes , the film combines sci-fi, drama, and action with big names like Claire Danes, Robert De Niro, Sienna Miller, Ricky Gervais, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page) in Forever and My Name Is Earl

In this independent drama, Woll plays “a young investigative reporter [who] suffers a sorrowful loss but finds an enigmatic commune where she starts to find her will to live and love again” in Forever (2015) . She also played the role of “Greta” in a two-episode-arch of My Name Is Earl (Season 3, Episodes 21 and 22) along with Alyssa Milano in “Camdenites: Part 1” and the follow-up.

Elden Henson (Franklin “Fozzy” Nelson) in The Mighty and The Battle of Shaker Heights

While his role in the Mighty Ducks trilogy isn’t offered through Netflix, you can still check out Henson in The Mighty (1998) , to which Roger Ebert awarded three stars. The story of the bond between two young outcasts also stars Sharon Stone, Gillian Anderson, and James Gandolfini. Ebert was less impressed with The Battle of Shaker Heights (2003) , a story in which Henson plays the best friend of Shia LaBeouf, a civil war re-enactor whose addict father is dying.

Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple) in Marvel’s Jessica Jones , Sin City , Rent … and much more

If you love Daredevil but aren’t invested much in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you may not have realized that P.I. Jessica Jones lives in the very same Hell’s Kitchen as Matt Murdock, and nurse Temple works at the only hospital in the neighborhood, showing up in the season finale of Marvel’s Jessica Jones . On top of that, you can also check out Dawson in Sin City , Rent , The Rundown , Alexander , Down To You , Parts Per Billion and more!

Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) in Full Metal Jacket , A** Backwards, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys … and much more

If his role in the legendary Full Metal Jacket isn’t your cup of tea, you still have plenty of other options for checking out D’Onofrio’s work over the last three decades. Other films on Netflix featuring D’Onofrio includes Mall (about a meth-fueled mall shooting), A** Backwards (about two grown women’s road trip to enter a beauty pageant), The Newton Boys (about four guys who rob banks in the 1920s), The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys (about four mischievous boys in Catholic school), and so much more.

Jon Bernthal (Frank Castle/Punisher) in The Walking Dead and Rampart

Bernthal is most well known for his role in the insanely popular The Walking Dead , but did you know he was also in the movie Rampart , a film starring Woody Allen as a Vietnam-vet-turned-cop?

Élodie Yung (Elektra Natchios) in Narcopolis and Still

If the dark, crime-fighting drama Daredevil is right up your alley, then you’ll likely enjoy Yung in her roles in Narcopolis and Still , which combine to include everything from drugs and gang violence to murder and corporate corruption.

Netflix and Marvel certainly aren’t working with rookie actors, as evidenced by their impressive filmographies. All of this talent coming together for the second season of Marvel’s Daredevil should prove to be an exciting adventure.

Season 2 of Marvel’s Daredevil will be available to stream on-demand with a Netflix subscription beginning March 18.
