Looks like Nashville is a certified hit for ABC. The network has just announced that it has ordered a full season of the show, that features television vetaran Connie Britton and Hayden Penettiere.

From early on Nashville has been a critics darling of sorts, recieiving rave reviews even before its pilot episode aired. The show centers around a failed Country star (Britton), who has seen her best days, and is forced to team up with Country’s newest rising star (Panettiere). The stakes for the show’s protagnonist are high, with record sales plummeting and her tour in turmoil.

The show is currently airing on Tuesdays and is now expected to have received a nine episode back order, which will make the season have a full run. This, of course, ups the chances of a Season 2 renewal, as networks are leery to order a full season if they don’t have faith that a show will do well. Nashville is the second of two shows that ABC has decided to order for a full season. The first, is Shonda Rhimes’ hit political drama Scandal , which stars Kerry Washington.

In addition to full season orders for Scandal and Nashville , ABC has also ordered addition episodes of Malibu Country , and Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing . However, the fate of one hyped up ABC show still seems to hang in the balance. 666 Park Avenue , which was introduced as a gritty new mystery show, has hit a snag in the ratings. If the ratings didn’t seal their fate, Hurricane Sandy might have, as most of their sets were damaged in the storm. According to insiders, it is unlikely the series will get a renewal due to the cost of the damage, but no official word has been reported.
