Former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants are about to search for love again when Bachelor in Paradise returns this summer — but they might want to do a little research before hooking up with their co-stars. Following Corrine Olympios and DeMario Jackson’s poolside scandal that halted production, here are a few more shocking Bachelor in Paradise cast secrets.
According to Radar Online , Robby Hayes, who appeared during JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette , got served a DUI back in 2012. Hayes was arrested after police officers noticed his vehicle swerving through double solid lines. In the official police report, the arresting officer claims that he smelled alcohol on Hayes’ breath and thought he was slurring his words. Hayes refused to take a sobriety test and pled not guilty to the charges. The case was dismissed a year later.
Alexander Woytkiw, meanwhile, was arrested in 2011 for prowling and loitering. A security officer caught Woytkiw and a friend hiding in some bushes outside of the Chi Omega sorority house. Police were called after he noticed Woytkiw and his friend had a hammer.
“Woytkiw admitted going to Chi Omega with the intent of taking the sorority letters off of the house,” court records revealed.
Even Ben Zorn’s history isn’t without a blemish. Zorn was taken into custody in 2009 after he attempted to steal a textbook worth $127. Zorn claims that he simply forgot to pay for the materials, but he eventually agreed to do some community service to drop the charges.
Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray were probably the most controversial couple on Season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise . Stanton is back on BIP this season after ending her engagement to Murray late last year. While she is clearly ready to move on, Radar Online reports that her breakup with Murray wasn’t without a good share of drama . In fact, Murray called the cops on Stanton because she failed to return a car he bought while they were together. Fortunately, the situation was resolved with little trouble.
The biggest scandal this season involved Corinne Olympios and recently ousted Bachelorette suitor, DeMario Jackson. According to Refinery 29 , inside sources revealed that Olympios and Jackson got way too frisky with each other during production and their actions left one producer feeling a little uncomfortable with the whole situation.
According to TMZ , the situation escalated after the camera crew felt as though Olympios was too drunk to give her consent. The reality star claims that she doesn’t remember anything from that night and that she was black-out drunk.
“The show absolutely values the primacy of consent, and this instance it appears as though conduct allegedly occurred without the proper consent having been given,” the insider shared.
ABC is currently investigating the situation, and it is unclear if Season 4 of Bachelor of Paradise will ever air.
