Forget about tying his dog to the top of the family car during a road-trip, saying he loves to “fire people” and mentioning how poor people will be fine because of government handouts, Mitt Romney is blaming all of his campaigning problems on a “vast left wing conspiracy.”
Romney on Tuesday appeared on a right wing Breitbart TV radio show where he repurposed a phrase from Hillary Clinton to go after the liberal media. When asked by host Larry O’Connor if he was ready to take on “the media and these nonprofits groups that are working together” Romney responded:
“There will be an effort by the quote vast left wing conspiracy to work together to put out their message and to attack me. They’re going to do everything they can to divert from the message people care about, which is a growing economy that creates more jobs and rising incomes. That’s what people care about.”
Romney then ignored the right wing media and claimed that it was liberal journalists who were turning voters against the GOP and not the parties own failed policies. According to Mitt Romney:
“Many in the media are inclined to do the president’s bidding and I know that’s an uphill battle we fight with the media generally.”
While Romney complained about the “vast left wing conspiracy” he also said he wasn’t afraid to take on whoever stands in his way:
“Democrats know that given the president’s record over the last three years they cannot run on that record. They will make this race about anything but the president’s record and the economy.”
Do you blame the “vast left wing conspiracy” for Mitt Romney’s troubles or his own failed moved?
