Missouri Senator Drops F-Bomb On Governor Jay Nixon Over Handling Of Ferguson Riots

Missouri S tate Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal dropped the F-bomb and several other expletives on Governor Jay Nixon over his handling of the Ferguson riots and the Michael Brown shooting. While some understood Senator Chappelle-Nadel’s frustration, many others consider tweeting curse words shows a distinct lack of professional and couth. Both Maria Chappelle-Nadal and Missouri Governor Jay Nixon are Democrats.

The string of angry and cursing tweets from Maria Chappelle-Nadal’s Twitte r account began on Thursday morning. During an interview on Fox News with Gretchen Carlson on Monday, the Missouri State Senator confirmed she did indeed drop the F-bomb on Governor Nixon and did not back away from her comments. The elected official said she feels Captain Ron Johnson was used as a “pawn” to cover up the “governor’s failures” in Ferguson. “ @ GovJayNixon proved today how disconnected he is to the Black community. He’s never been to Ground Zero. This is his Katrina,” Chappelle-Nadal also tweeted. The F-bomb tweet, which is no longer visible on Chappelle-Nadal’s Twitter feed, read, “F**k you, Governor. I’m calling your b***s**t!”

The state senator was angry, in part, because Governor Nixon was absent from the Ferguson protests –at least from the “ground zero” area, according to his fellow Democrat. Chapelle-Nadal represents the Ferguson area and said she is also a constituent of Nixon’s and resented having tear gas dropped upon her in the wake of the Michael Brown shooting by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson. During an interview with local KMOZ State Senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal said she was hit with tear gas while standing with Ferguson protesters.

The Missouri Governor called in the state highway patrol and local resident Captain Ron Johnson to help calm tensions, and for at least one evening, the plan seemed to work. But, the headway Captain Johnson appeared to make after convincing residents and possibly outsiders as well, to stop destroying their own community and to protest peacefully – ended shortly after Ferguson Police Chief Thomas Jackson’s press conference on Friday. During the press conference the local police chief, responding to Sunshine Law requests, released photos and a report form a strong-armed robbery that named Michael Brown as the suspect. The robbery reportedly happened just prior to officer Darren Wilson encountering Brown and a friend walking down the middle of the road.
