Miranda Lambert, the female powerhouse of country music, dazzled at the Stagecoach Festival this past Saturday. Lambert, who encompasses the total package of showmanship and professionalism, brought the house down with her energetic performance.
The Stagecoach Festival began in 2007, and since its inception, they have only booked 3 female headliners. Miranda Lambert has been the headliner twice out of the three — not bad at all. Lambert, who got on the stage in a powder-blue Loretta Lynn T-shirt, short black leather skirt, and fishnet stockings gave the audience a performance full of energy and enthusiasm. Lambert’s 18-song playlist that she sang for the captive audience didn’t disappoint as she powered through.
Just like her male counterpart, Tim McGraw, in her musical genre, Lambert is a skilled performer. Her professionalism is shown by performing on stage without the use of alcohol, forgetting her song lyrics, or bore her audience with useless banter. Lambert had a job to do, and she executed it flawlessly.
Engaging with her audience members is something Lambert does with ease. As the Desert Sun reported, when Lambert was on stage , she captivated the audience by speaking directly to them, and keeping the energy up.
“It’s so great to be back at Stagecoach tonight, I love how many people come out here to celebrate country music.”
Lambert started her set on the Toyota Mane Stage with veteran Stagecoach singer Carrie Underwood. They started with “Somethin’ Bad,” and went directly into “Fastest Girl In Town.”
Miranda Lambert also sang fan favorites such as “The House That Built Me,” “White Liar,” “Gunpowder and Lead,” and “Automatic.”
The Stagecoach Festival, which played April 24 through April 25, featured other epic headliners such as country music legend Merle Haggard. Unfortunately, Lambert was not able to hear the country legend perform on Friday evening, but in her own classic style she paid homage to him by playing “The Way I Am,” which was originally performed by Haggard.
Lambert’s vocal abilities were evident throughout her performance as her voice powered through and stayed consistent the entire night.
The beautiful Miranda performed with such ease and energy throughout the night, it proves why she is the leader in the country music world. Considering that Lambert won at the 2015 Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM), walking away with song of the year and album of the year, how would anyone expect anything different from the seasoned artist?
What do you think of Miranda Lambert’s performance? Were any of you able to see it?
