Here’s the official synopsis for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter.

“Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, humanity is on its last legs after Alice is betrayed by Wesker in Washington D.C. As the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead hordes, Alice must return to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.”

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter hits theaters January 27, 2017.

Meanwhile, the cast and crew of the film have been left devastated after stuntwoman Olivia Jackson suffered a near-fatal accident that left her in a medically-induced coma. Milla took to her official Facebook page to speak about the horrific incident.

“I sit down to write this post with a heavy heart, because a terrible accident rocked our set on Saturday the 5th of September. My incredibly talented stunt double, Olivia Jackson, collided with a camera crane while performing a motorcycle stunt and it put her in the hospital with severe, multiple injuries,” Jovovich wrote . “We now understand she is stable and being carefully monitored by very experienced South African doctors.”

People reports that Olivia suffered severe head injuries and a punctured lung after colliding with the metal camera arm during a high-speed motorcycle chase. She was not wearing protective gear at the time. Jackson also performed stunts in the forthcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Her husband, fellow stunt performer David Grant, also posted a message on Facebook on Tuesday, letting fans and supporters know that his wife has been “making steady progress.”

Milla Jovovich most recently starred in James McTeigue’s Survivor, which was released on both Blu-ray and DVD on June 23.
