Mike Teller was involved in a car crash with an Uber vehicle in San Fernando Valley on Thursday night, leaving his car flipped over to its side and the actor fuming with anger.
Teller was driving with his girlfriend Keleigh Sperry in his blue Bronco truck at the time of the accident. However, neither Teller nor Sperry sustained any injuries from the crash.
According to TMZ , Teller disembarked from his overturned vehicle screaming to the other driver “You ****ed up my truck.” He was reportedly held back by other people at the scene from attacking the Uber driver.
Police have ruled out the possibility that drugs and alcohol played a role in Miles Teller’s car crash. Police sources told TMZ that the Uber driver appeared to have made a dangerous left turn, coming up in front of Teller’s vehicle.
Neither Teller nor Sperry has released any statement about the horrific accident that they were involved in. It is unclear if the 29-year-old actor would take legal action against the Uber driver. While the couple did not sustain any injuries in the accident, two passengers of the Uber driver are reported to have been transferred to the hospital with minor injuries.
This Miles Teller car crash brings to memory another accident involving the actor in 2007, which almost claimed his life.
Earlier this year, Teller told ABC News about the deadly accident , which left scars on his face.
“My buddy lost control of my car going 80 mph. We flipped eight times. I got ejected out the window. The car landed and I was just laying like 50 feet from the car, unconscious, covered in blood. My buddy thought I was dead,” Teller said.
The Mad Dog actor went on to reveal that the scars on his face prevented him from getting some movie roles in the early days of his career.
Mike Teller’s car crash experience has taught him not to focus on “small, petty things,” according to the actor. He told InStyle some years ago that the accident changed his outlook on life.
“Surviving that really puts things into context. I’ve learned that you never know what anyone else is going through at any given time,” he said.
For some reason, Teller has landed several roles involving car accidents in his career. His first major role was in Rabbit Hole , where he played a high school student who kills a toddler in a car accident.
Teller’s other movies where he was involved in car accidents include his 2014 hit movie Whiplash and his latest release Bleed for This.
In Bleed for This, Teller plays Providence boxer Vinny Pazienza, who was involved in a nearly fatal car accident that left him almost paralyzed.
Miles Teller’s car crash experience apparently prepared him to play Pazienza. He said that because he had been in an equally bad accident, he could relate to Pazienza’s story from “ a pretty honest place ,” CBS News reported.
“For me, I got ejected from a car that was going 80 miles an hour that flipped eight times when I was 20 years old, and the EMT told me 99.9 percent of the time the car rolls over, you get paralyzed, so I was very fortunate…I was 50 feet away from the car; the cops saw me covered in blood and thought I was dead,” he revealed.
Miles Teller’s car crash may have damaged his beloved Bronco pretty badly. Teller and Sperry really like the Bronco as the car features prominently on their social media platforms.
Teller’s Twitter bio says “I’m probably driving my Bronco listening to Bob Seger right now.” Meanwhile, Sperry has many pictures of the Bronco on her Instagram page.
