As of today, reports are saying many Middle Eastern countries have offered to join the U.S. in its air strikes against ISIS , especially since the takeover in Iraq, Syria and the brutal videotaped executions of two American and one British citizen.
While the countries that will be joining forces with the U.S. were not identified, sources are saying that these countries will be deciding on what roles to play in each affected country occupied by the ISIS terrorists.
Yahoo New s reports that the coalition could further justify the U.S.’s position in the war against ISIS. The videotaped beheading of the three men showed a masked executioner, dressed in all black, threatening the U.S. and the U.K. and any U.S. ally if their involvement in air strikes continues.
But the threats went in one ear and out the other according to one U.S. government source. The unnamed Arabic allies are ready to help in the fight.
“I don’t want to leave you with the impression that these Arab members haven’t offered to do air strikes because several of them have.”
While President Obama has remained his focus on air strikes and very limited ground troops, the unnamed Arabic allies are believed to be ready to take it a step further to other places in addition to Iraq if needed, the official explained.
“We have to sort through all of that because you can’t just go and bomb something.”
The most recent beheading, claiming the life David Haines, came with a promise from U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron that ISIS will not go unpunished, according to CNN .
“We have to confront this menace. Step by step we must drive back, dismantle, and ultimately destroy ISIL and what it stands for. Together with allies, we will do so in a calm, deliberate way but with an iron determination.”
