Mick Jagger is starting to show his age a bit on his 70th birthday.
The Rolling Stones frontman held a private party at the Loulou private members club for his big day, but he and the other members of the rock and roll group weren’t able to go all hours of the night like they used to. By the time the clock struck 1:35 am, all the Stones had turned in.
Mick Jagger seemed ready for a good time, showing up to his 70th birthday part in a tailored maroon suit while his partner L’Wren Scott wore a red dress and high heels. He was in a party mood early on, hitting the dance floor and hanging out with his children Jade, James, Elizabeth, and Georgia May and granddaughter Amba Jackson.
But as the night dragged on he and the other band members seemed a bit drained, that maybe they left a little too much on stage when they performed at Hyde Park earlier that evening.
In fact, the 69-year-old Keith Richards didn’t even make it to Jagger’s party. He was spotted turning into his hotel early, dressed for bedtime.
The party may have been a bit of a letdown given Mick Jagger’s hard-partying reputation, but the lifestyle is a far cry from his original plan in life. He revealed in a recent interview with BBC Radio that his original career goal was to become a school teacher . He even suggested that a life in education would have been more “gratifying” than being a rock star, and certainly more challenging intellectually.
While no one knows how Mr. Mick Jagger would have been as a school teacher, he seemed to make a great choice in rock and roll. The Stones were inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004, and were listed as the No. 4 on the “100 Greatest Artists of All Time” by Rolling Stone magazine.
