Fame-seeking White House party crasher Michaele Salahi — who, back in late 2009, became internationally known alongside then-husband Tareq for inviting themselves to a Presidential shindig — has a famous fiance for real now after an on-stage proposal from Journey’s Neal Schon.
Michaele Salahi has been bouncing around the D-list ever since she became famous for gate-crashing, but she and Tareq Salahi split back in 2011. And, as the breakup worsened, allegations came from Tareq’s camp that Michaele Salahi had been running around inappropriately with Neal Schon , allegations which both Michaele and Schon denied .
Salahi, 47, and Schon, 58, were both at a gig Sunday night in Baltimore when the question was popped. The Washington Post reports :
“She said yes, to cheers from the crowd, reports our colleague Ben Sumner — and then the band played its 1983 power ballad “Faithfully,” of course. The rock on her finger: Huge.”
A publicist for Michaele Salahi was right on it because, of course, she was, posting confirmation of the high-profile engagement on Twitter:

Us Magazine reports that Michaele Salahi and Neal Schon dated previously before she married Tareq Salahi and that doubts about Schon’s rockstar lifestyle led her to make a choice that she may now regret. The mag quotes Salahi as having said:
“I chose Tareq over Neal because I thought life would be less stressful living on a vineyard in Virginia. Life on the road with a rock band … well, I thought I might not have been able to keep up.”
After Schon and Salahi began dating, the rocker said in an interview:
“I’m very happy, very happy after waiting for her for 15 years … Now I want to get beyond all this media hype that [Michaele’s estranged husband] Tareq has put out there. It’s really quite embarrassing.”
Do you think Michaele Salahi’s on-stage proposal from Neal Schon was romantic or over-exposed?
