Melanie Griffith Covers Antonio Banderas Tattoo With ‘Mel’ Bandage

Melanie Griffith covered her tattoo with ex-husband, Antonio Banderas’ name with a white bandage and her nickname, “Mel”, written in black ink. The couple shocked many when they announced they were splitting back in May, after 18-years of marriage.

Throughout the painful ordeal, Melanie Griffith has been very practical and now seems to be sending clear a message to Antonio. If he thought she was going to crawl under a rock, after the revelations that broke up their marriage, he is very wrong.

The 56-year-old, newly-single actress — who was previously married to actor Don Johnson — has not been circumspect about her intentions of removing the tattoo with Antonio Banderas’ name from her arm. The image used to show the name of the Latin lover surrounded by a heart.

Last month, Griffith made her first public appearance — post-split from Banderas — at the Taormina Film Festival in Italy. It didn’t escape prying eyes that she appeared to have put heavy amounts of make-up to attempt to conceal the tattoo.

Ever since then, paparazzi have spotted Melanie Griffith out and about in Los Angeles, with the ‘Mel’ bandage that covers Antonio Banderas’s tattoo.

Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas shocked their fans when they announced their separation, earlier this summer. In a joint statement the couple said:

“We have thoughtfully and consensually decided to finalize our almost twenty years marriage in a loving and friendly manner honoring and respecting each other, our family and friends and the beautiful time we have spent together.”

When Melanie Griffith got Antonio Banderas’ name tattooed on her right arm, she wasn’t thinking their marriage would ever end, but as it turns out many times in Hollywood, that’s just what happened to this popular couple. An earlier report in The Inquisitr alleges Banderas held sex parties at home , while Melanie was away, according to a Brazilian woman.

Melanie Griffith is probably regretting her decision to have Antonio Banderas’ name tattooed on her right arm earlier in their relationship and is doing everything possible to remove the artwork and any memories of her 18-year with her ex.
