Marvel has announced release dates for five movies 2017 and 2019 that have fans ablaze with speculation about just what the mysterious films could be.
In a post on the company’s website, Marvel announced the release dates for what many fans are already speculating could be the studio’s planned “phase three.” As The Independent notes, two new films have been announced for 2017 and 2018 each, with a fifth mystery film hitting theaters at the beginning of summer 2019. In 2017, the films will be released on July 28th and November 3rd. In 2018, fans will head to theaters on July 6th and November 2nd, before waiting for the last of the five films announced, which drops on May 3, 2019.

Before the five mystery films are released, Marvel has a few other movies in the works. Avengers: Age of Ultron will be released on May 1st, 2015, as The Inquisitr has reported. Ant-Man will be released on July 17th, 2015 and Captain America 3 will follow on May 6th, 2016. Though no information was released by Marvel except for the dates, a practice for which they are known, fans have already begun to speculate about what the mystery films could be. Cinemablend suggests that the July 8th, 2016 slot belongs to a Doctor Strange movie, as it is the only Marvel film that has a director attached, but no release date announced.

Meanwhile, Moviepilot speculates that the only announced 2019 release date could mean a third Avengers movie is already in the earliest of planning stages:
This is the only release date that points to a third Avengers movie. The first two films were released at the beginning of the summer movie-going season, so it stands to reason that the third will do the same. This would also mean that eight movies stand between The Avengers: Age of Ultron and The Avengers 3 . That’s plenty of time to build a new storyline that would be bigger than the first two movies.
Io9 has suggested that a third Avengers film could take the July 2018 slot, leaving less of a gap between the second and third films. They also posit that 2017 could see the release of a third Thor movie, as well as a sequel to Marvel’s highly anticipated Guardians Of The Galaxy , which will hit theaters this summer.
