The first season of Married At First Sight was a refreshing change from the countless reality TV shows that are often just filled with pointless drama. When the season of the show ended, fans were left wondering if this crazy social experiment, otherwise known as marrying a complete stranger, was something that actually trumped traditional dating.
For the two out of three couples who ended up staying married it’s a no-brainer that trusting the experts on the show, including handsome licensed psychologist Dr. Joseph Cilona and spunky resident sex-pert, Dr. Logan Levkoff, really worked.
If there is any doubt as to how well FYI’s spinoff, The First Year will do, Zap2It.com reports that first season of Married at First Sight was the highest rated program ever on the FYI network, which is owned by A&E. Fans who cheered on Jamie, Doug, Cortney, and Jason on Twitter during Season 1 will undoubtedly be back to watch the couples on their new show next year.
