Mark Wahlberg’s mansion makeover is complete, and the actor is going to be living pretty large with his family. The Transformers and Ted 2 star had a team renovate an estate in Beverly Park, California, and the outcome is pretty impressive. It may have taken five years to complete, but the end result is stunning.
TMZ shared the scoop on Mark Wahlberg’s mansion . It has 30,000 square feet of space, and sits on six acres of property. Wahlberg has owned the property for some time now, but he had it completely redesigned. In fact, Mark had renowned architect Richard Landry design the home. He is the same architect that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen recently used for their big home.
Naturally, Mark Wahlberg’s mansion has a lot of impressive and high-end amenities. There is a large pool along with two jacuzzis. The rock formation pool also includes a diving board and a slide. The mansion also boasts a wood-paneled home theater, along with a wine cellar and a two-story library inside.
The Daily Mail adds some additional details to the mix. Along with the large pool, there is a full-sized basketball court, a fireplace, a putting green, a guest house, and a gym at Mark Wahlberg’s mansion . The fireplace is housed in an outdoor loggia with limestone floors and coffered ceilings.
It’s not known yet if Mark and his family, which includes his wife Rhea Durham and their kids Ella, Michael, Brendan, and Grace, have moved in yet. It seems the work on the home was just recently wrapped up. While Wahlberg is keeping quite busy with film projects these days, having gone through quite the physical transformation for one particular role, this is clearly a place he and his family can relax during their downtime.
Reports indicate that the actor initially spent $8 million to purchase the Beverly Park home in 2009. Obviously, he has sunk some significant cash into the home, and it is worth substantially more now. Though a number of aerial photos of Wahlberg’s renovated home are available online, most of the actor’s fans will be left in the dark for now regarding the detailing on the inside.
The architect did reveal, however, that this is a more traditional family home than some other celebrity projects he’s done. He says that there are no “ginormous rooms” there, though it’s not exactly a humble abode either. From the looks of things, Mark Wahlberg’s mansion is a place the family can certainly call home for years to come.
