These days, Mark Ruffalo is all over the map in Hollywood. If he’s not talking about fracking, or his blockbuster juggernaut role as the Hulk, he’s dominating the independent world. That said, is Ruffalo interested in a role in Star Wars ? The answer is a no-brainer — of course he is, who wouldn’t be?
Currently, J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII is underway with a monster cast. Now it looks like Ruffalo is trying to work his connection with director-writer Rian Johnson to score a role in the next Star Wars epic, Star Wars VIII . Mark Ruffalo worked with Johnson for Brothers Bloom , and according to Collider , he tried desperately to get Rian to agree on a role over e-mail in the saga. Ruffalo tried his best to remember what he exactly wrote in hopes to secure himself a role in the film.
“Rian, congratulations on everything you’ve been doing. And by the way, if there’s a part in Star Wars , please, anything, please consider considering me to join you.”
Even if there may not be a big role for Ruffalo to fill, when Collider asked him if he would be willing to be in the background, he seemed game if the stars aligned.
“Possibly, depending on timing. I love hanging out with Rian so that’s interesting to me but I would like a role.”
People are already behind Mark Ruffalo’s possible role.
Please Rian Johnson, please consider Mark Ruffalo for a role in Star Wars. http://t.co/9gSELNZmZO

As for what he thinks about the technological advancements in films, he seems really excited about motion capture, which he’s had experience with on the set of The Avengers .
“After this last Avengers and the work we’re doing with that, and the advancement of the technology even since the first Avengers , I’m so excited about where we can go with motion capture.
“I hope that I’m on the front line of this kind of new frontier of creativity and performance that is completely boundless. Definitely be interested in doing something like that for Star Wars .”
Currently, J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars Episode VII has a mega cast including originals Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher (Leia), and new characters that will be portrayed by actors Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, and Max von Sydow.
