The below pro-Trump YouTube video starring Mark “Oz” Geist, a former Marine, is gaining a bunch of buzz online. Uploaded to YouTube on Wednesday, June 29, the NRA pro-Trump ad quickly swelled to more than 12,000 views.
As reported by CBS News , the National Rifle Association — or NRA , for short — spent a whopping $2 million for their pro-Trump ad campaigns that paint Hillary Clinton in a bad light in comparison to Donald Trump. The Geist ad focuses on Clinton’s role in the tragic terror attack in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012.
Backed by money from the Political Victory Fund of the NRA, the powerful 30-second ad could be as powerful and memorable as the famous “3 a.m.” ad seen below, which showed Clinton answering the phone at the White House in the middle of the night. It was an ad that purported to explain that Hillary wouldn’t be too busy with family matters not to pick up the phone.
However, some folks are commenting that Hillary didn’t answer the phone when it came to the 2012 Benghazi attack. Geist is a Marine Corps veteran who survived the attack that claimed the lives of four Americans. Mark opens the NRA pro-Trump ad by claiming that many Americans might state that they won’t even go to the polls this year because their desired presidential candidate isn’t in the running.
Therefore, plenty of registered voters in the U.S. claim they might stay home instead of casting their all-important vote. Geist, however, says that the presidential election isn’t worth staying home over — and handing the presidency to Clinton as a result. Instead, Mark walks hauntingly through the Arlington National Cemetery and looks at all the rows of the dead soldiers who won’t be voting in the coming presidential election, either.
It’s a play on emotions that assumes all the soldiers who lost their lives would automatically vote for Trump if they were still alive today — a gamble that could pay off for Trump or backfire in a big way for both Trump and the NRA.
Ambassador Chris Stevens also died in the Benghazi attack. The plight was described in the book titled 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi , which was used as the basis for the 13 Hours movie. It’s a book that Geist co-authored.
“A lot of people say they’re not going to vote this November because their candidate didn’t win. Well, I know some people who won’t be voting this year either. Hillary as President? No thanks. I served in Benghazi. My friends didn’t make it. They did their part. Do yours.”
It is the first pro-Trump ad from the NRA for the 2016 presidential season. Urging voters to “stop Hillary now” in a staccato format of punctuation, the NRA ad will be aired in swing states like Ohio, as well as Florida, Colorado, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The pro-Trump NRA ad will also be broadcast on national cable stations.
“Stop. Hillary. Now.”
As seen in the top photo above, Mark appears on the left in the image of the Benghazi Annex Security Team members. Geist was responsible for providing Benghazi security services. Also in the photo are Kris “Tanto” Paronto, John “Tig” Tiegen, and actor Dominic Fumusa.
According to the Sean Hannity Show , the new pro-Trump ad by the NRA is a “doozy.” It is the first NRA pro-Trump ad after the NRA made news for endorsing Trump in May. The focus on Benghazi has been stronger in recent days, reports CBS News , since an 800-page report was released on Tuesday . Clinton believes it’s time to move from focusing on Benghazi.
“While this unfortunately took on a partisan tinge, I want us to stay focused on what I’ve always wanted us to stay focused on, and that is the important work of diplomacy and development.”
