Did you know there is an exorcist conference that is held by the Catholic Church? Apparently the conference is a popular place to discuss how to defeat demons, treat satanic possession, find signs of evil, and, of course, how to deal with pop superstar Madonna.
The Catholic Church is apparently not happy with the singers mock crucifixions on stage during her shows and will therefore discuss her performances.
Father Andrzej Grefkowic, an exorcist and one of the organizers of the conference, explains:
“Part of the conference is dedicated to the hidden subliminal message in communication, and the choice of this subject was inspired by the woman who dares to call herself Madonna. We’ve been worried about her concerts.”
Don’t worry: The Catholic church isn’t just going after Madonna. It’s also worried about evil “tattoos” and modern fashions and trends that will most definitely cause the devil to take over your soul an possess your very being.
Father Grefkowic explains that the growing risk of Satan is in part because of “the increasing popularity of tattoos, body piercing, horoscopes and magic shows as ways evil could corrupt people.”
At it’s heart, though, the exorcist conference isn’t about Madonna; it’s about showing priests how to find evil and exorcise that evil from human hosts.
You might think exorcisms are an ancient practice with very little interest in today’s technology obsessed society, but you would be wrong. According to conference organizers, the number of exorcism requests is actually increasing. While our culture is becoming more secular, many people are turning to exorcisms to help them with the unexplained.
The five day exorcism conference will include more than 300 exorcists and lay specialists.
What I got from this story: Madonna is probably possessed by Satan and must be exorcised.
Do you think the exorcism conference is using Madonna’s celebrity to gain press for its own purposes?
