Rene-Thierry Magon de la Villehuchet, the founding partner and chief executive officer of Access International Advisors, a major investor with Bernard Madoff has been found dead of suspected suicide.

De la Villehuchet was found with no pulse in his Manhattan Office Tuesday morning and was unable to be revived. Unconfirmed reports suggest that he slit his wrists and had taken a large amount of sleeping bills.

Access International Advisors has a $1.4 billion exposure to the Madoff fraud.

The Madoff Ponzi scheme scandal, said to be a biggest financial fraud in history with $50 billion lost has spread to legal action against investors, with a law suit lodged against Fairfield Greenwich alleging negligence in investing with Madoff. It’s not clear whether Access International Advisors may have been facing a similar threat.
