Tamar Braxton’s former The Real co-host, Loni Love, is admitting that she hasn’t spoken to Tamar since she was fired from the show last month, and is also revealing that Braxton will, in fact, be replaced.
Loni made the surprising confessions about Tamar in a new interview with The Tom Joyner Morning Show , where she claimed that she’s seen Tamar’s various social media messages about her departure and added that Braxton has “made her peace” with being let go from the series.
“I haven’t heard from Tamar but I’ve seen her messages,” Love admitted, likely referring to the slew of messages Braxton posted on social media in recent weeks in which she claimed she’d been “stabbed in the back” by someone at the show and also referred to her former co-hosts as “phony b*****s.”
“She’s made her peace with the show, and we really do wish her well,” Love continued of Tamar, revealing that she’s “sticking by” the video she posted on her Facebook page after the news was announced in which Love stated that she was “going to miss” Tamar.
“She was an asset to us,” Loni added, likening Braxton’s departure to Michael Strahan’s departurefrom Live! With Kelly and Michaelearlier this year by admitting that none of Tamar’s co-hosts knew that she was leaving until it was officially announced.
“All the co-hosts, we’re going to miss her, and we really do wish her well,” Loni told The Tom Joyner Morning Show , “but we have to move on with the show and we have to think about our fans.”
Loni Love then confirmed the speculation that Tamar’s vacant seat will be filled, confessing that someone new will be brought in to sit alongside herself, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Jeannie Mai, and Adrienne Bailon, who are all confirmed to be returning for the upcoming third season.
“We don’t know who they’re going to choose,” Loni admitted, telling the radio show that The Real‘s producers are currently searching for the perfect person to sit at the show’s desk to replace Tamar Braxton.
Loni did not speak out about her supposed feud with Tamar on the radio show, though her admission that she hasn’t spoken to Tamar since it was announced that Braxton had been fired from The Real back in May had fans on social media speculating that there may be serious drama between the two.
“Loni should [have] kept that she hasn’t talked to Tamar to herself. That just made her look more guilty. It’s been a month,” @stillyasmer tweeted out in response to Love’s candid interview, while @kiyaaking wrote on the social media site, “You still haven’t talked to Tamar but you saw her messages? Loni please shut the f*** up!”
Rumors of bad blood between Love and Braxton have swirled ever since news of Tamar’s departure was first announced, and Loni herself even appeared to allude to drama when discussing Braxton’s exit on Instagram on May 24 by telling Tamar to “take the time she needs.”
“You shine bright… Keep shining… You know I love you and your family. Your faith has made me strong, your jokes make me laugh and I know that you will continue to soar as you always do,” Love captioned a photo of herself and Tamar.
“Know that no matter what I only want and wish you the best,” Love continued to Braxton. “I am here, nothing has changed. Take the time you need but know as I have always been, I am here.”
Tamar later appeared to allude to drama with her co-stars on her own social media page, liking a fans photo on the social media site that referred to her former The Real co-hosts as “phony b*****s” and commenting on the snap, “Pretty much.”
