Lindsay Lohan’s Liz & Dick co-star Grant Bowler has come to the actress’s defense after a damning story was published suggesting that Lohan was more trouble than she was worth on the set of the polarizing Lifetime film.
A New York Times Magazine article titled “This Is What You Get When You Hire Lindsay Lohan in Your Movie” criticized Lohan with a heavy hand, chronicling her diva-esque demands amid well-meaning but slightly washed-up production crew members on the set of the upcoming erotic thriller The Canyons .
Hardly the still-troubled but earnestly-trying comeback actress we’ve come to know over the past year.
A Christian Bale-esque recording of Lohan shouting at Canyons co-star James Deen has surfaced online, adding fuel to the fire.
But Grant Bowler, who played Richard Burton beside Lohan’s Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime film Liz & Dick says that he never saw the actress in a foul mood on the set of their film.
Though Bowler admitted recently that working with Lohan required “exercises in patience and… tolerance” he insisted that she never treated him poorly.
Bowler tells E!Online : “I never got yelled at. We had a lot of quiet and intense conversations. We didn’t have that [turbulent] relationship at all. To be completely fair to Lindsay, that did not happen. She didn’t threaten me at all…
“We had a lot of quiet, serious conversations about characters and we worked very, very hard. And we both ensured that when we came to set, we came to set very, very serious. That’s the God’s honest truth.”
Bowler also refused to broach the subject of Lohan’s off-screen troubles, adding: “My experience with any actor is from action to cut, everything else is none of my business.”
Here’s the audio of Lindsay Lohan yelling at Canyons co-star James Deen. Do you think that Lindsay is more trouble than she’s worth?
