The star of a reality show on SundanceTV, Loredana Nesci , was found dead Wednesday morning. Shortly after, her boyfriend and the father of her son was in custody.

An anonymous man, reportedly very upset, called police to Nesci’s home in Redondo Beach, California, at about 7 a.m. that morning, People reported. When police arrived, they found her dead and soon learned that her boyfriend, Robert Reagan, had called them to her house.

According to Fox News, authorities immediately suspected foul play and arrested Reagan, 51 , on suspicion of murder. He is currently in jail pending $1 million bond.

Loredana and Robert had reportedly been arguing, police told Variety . They also said she was either shot or stabbed, but People confirmed that the 47-year-old reality star suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Her death is being treated as a homicide.

In the days before she was found dead, Nesci remained active on social media, filling her accounts with pictures of family and, most recently, her pets. Her last Instagram post was made a mere 24 hours before her death, in which she’s seen nuzzling her dog, Louie.

Neighbors also don’t recall anything. One told Fox News that his wife was home around the time she was shot dead, and didn’t hear anything that indicated a fight or struggle. Nesci and her partner also had not been acting particularly strange in recent days either, the neighbor said.

The pair did bicker on the Sundance reality show, called Loredana, Esq. , which aired in 2014 for only six episodes. Nesci and Reagan were often seen sparring over childcare and home renovations, like any other couple.

The show premiered in 2013, and Loredana also had a gig as a contributor on The View . Prior to her stint on TV, she was a cop in Los Angeles, moving on to study law at Quinnipiac University. Afterward, she worked for two firms in Connecticut, Spinella & Associates and Cadden, Ivers & Ivers, earning the moniker “Legal Diva.” The name stuck.

Loredana’s public life began when she got her own radio show on KCAA 1050 AM.

Now, family are coping with her sudden death. Her brother, a police lieutenant in Meriden, Sal Nesci, told the Record Journal that he never expected his sister to be shot dead in a domestic violence incident.

“I’ve dedicated my life to prevent this sort of tragedy, never imagined this would happen to my sister. She was my best friend, great family member and superb mom … We lost our sister, who is a great person. She is definitely larger than life and she will be sadly missed.”

She leaves behind a son, Rocco, who was not at home when she killed.
