Lady Gaga is pointing the finger of blame directly at some of the people she surrounds herself with for the problems associated with the release of her latest album, ARTPOP .

It’s no secret that the singer’s latest musical endeavor failed to connect with fans and critics when it dropped last year. However, Mother Monster wants everyone to know that some of the issues associated with the album aren’t entirely her fault. During a recent chat with fans, she opened up about some of the problems she tackled while promoting the songs.

When asked why the music video for her latest single “Do What You Want” was seriously delayed, the singer decided to share some details about these costly behind-the-scenes shenanigans.

“It is late because, just like with the ‘Applause’ video unfortunately, I was given a week to plan and execute it. Those who have betrayed me gravely mismanaged my time and health and left me on my own to damage control any problems that ensued as a result,” Lady Gaga explained during the recent chat.

She added, “Millions of dollars are not enough for some people. They want billions. Then they need trillions. I was not enough for some people.”

Lady Gaga quickly learned who her real friends were after undergoing hip surgery, a procedure that forced her to cancel the remainder of her “Born This Way” tour. The singer said she was definitely a little shocked by the lack of support she received from certain people during this stressful time.

“My heart breaks from the people I have trusted and loved who I’ve worked so closely with, who have used me, lied to me, worked me into the ground for the personal gain,” she said.

Gaga was understandably saddened by the revelation. She continued, “When I woke up in the hospital after my surgery there were many people that were not there. My health did not matter. I did not matter unless I could perform. This is a very hard lesson.”

Although the release of ARTPOP was definitely a disappointment for Lady Gaga and the folks over at Interscope, the singer said there’s no truth that poor sales led to a $25 million loss deficit for the company and a stinting round of layoffs. In fact, she claims the record label is one of her biggest supporters at the moment.

“They in fact love me very much and will see ‘ARTPOP’ to the end,” she added.

Lady Gaga is presently scheduled to kick off the “ARTPOP Ball” tour this May.
