Lady Gaga is not one to shy away from controversy but her newest outfit could land her with death and other threats from two very different extremist groups.
Gaga was recently spotted wearing a fur laden outfit which is sure to attract PETA and other animal rights activists.
One source tells the Sun Times:
“I’m hearing they are going to try and personally attack Gaga — spraying her with paint or even throwing feces at her.”
Gaga apparently not only doesn’t care what PETA thinks, an insider says, “she just loves sticking it to those PETA people.”
While PETA has the ability to annoy people who don’t align with their animal rights views, Gaga’s biggest threat could come from Islamic organizations who were outraged when Gaga decided to wear a burqa to Philip Treacy’s London Fashion Week show. The big issue with the burqa was that it had the word “c*nt” emblazoned on it.
One Muslim group in Chicago tells The Sun:
“That comes across as a clear insult to Muslims and Islam.”
While not a direct threat by the mainstream Chicago group that was enough for Lady Gaga to increase her security personnel count for fear that radical Islamist groups might attempt to act upon perceived threats.
Lady Gaga has always been a big supporter of freedom of choice which makes her alleged attack against a group of people a bit odd. In fact Lady Gaga recently voiced her displeasure for the anti-Muslim rhetoric that contributed to the attack on a U.S. Embassy in Egypt and the death of US ambassador Chris Stevens.
