As Kanye West contemplates carrying out his promise to run for president, many are asking just how Kim Kardashian would do as the First Lady. Kanye made the presidential run announcement during his acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards, and he’s already got celebrity backers such as Ice Cube, reported E! News .
Contemplating the news that West would try to become the president in 2020, Ice Cube stated his support.
“I’m voting for Kanye. Why not? Who’s better than Kanye to run?”
And as for Kim, Ice Cube sees nothing wrong with a campaign that would put Kardashian-West in the position of First Lady.
“It’s cool,” he declared. “No matter who is the President, you gotta all get up and go to work in the morning.”
But Kanye went beyond discussing the work involved. Instead, West focused on the ideas in announcing his attentions in a way that trumped Donald Trump.
“It’s about ideas bro, new ideas. People with ideas, people who believe in truth. And yes, as you could have guessed by this moment, I have decided, in 2020, to run for President.”
That means Kanye needs a vice president, but someone has already volunteered for the position. Taylor Swift is ready to take on the challenge of becoming West’s VP, reported Vanity Fair .
Swift and West have a lengthy backstory that some feel involves a little backstabbing. When she won many years ago at the VMAs, Kanye hopped up on the stage, took away the microphone, and announced the award should have gone to Beyonce.
However, the two have since made up to the extent that it was Taylor who gave Kanye the Video Vanguard Award, and he in turn sent her an enormous gift of white roses.
That bouquet bequeathed Swift the perfect chance to toss her hat in the ring for vice president with a special hashtag.
“Awwww Kanye sent me the coolest flowers!! #KanTay2020 #BFFs,” wrote Taylor.
While Swift is hoping that #KanTay2020 goes viral (at least by 2020), Kim is still facing the fallout that resulted in Kardashian experiencing incessant body-shaming and more, reported the Daily Beast .
Kim’s maternity attire has been mocked. Moreover, the founder of 2 Live Crew, Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell, slammed Kardashian.
“You can’t turn a ho into a housewife. It used to be a difference, before Kanye West, rappers wasn’t wifin’ all these hos,” he said.
Kim has become known for speaking out about a positive body image, supporting Caitlyn Jenner, and attacking racism. But it seems that Kardashian cannot live down the sex tape that circulated, according to Jenner.
That sex tape, made with Ray J, was later bought by Vivid Entertainment, and when Keeping Up with the Kardashians debuted and the sex tape was released, the results blew up.
Neither Kim nor Ray J admit knowing who initially released that tape, but Jenner points to Ray J and reveals the hurt that Kim still experiences.
“[Kim] got sold out. It was one of the more difficult things that you can go through.”
